I am David A Paulissen (aka Mr. P), and I'm a long time avian and wildlife photographer. Shooting since childhood has groomed my passion for photography and honed that vision into a love of birds and wildlife. I also love to create photographic portraits and fine art . The Galveston Bay area of Texas is my home and I frequent the bays, ponds, area refuges and state parks nearby. Perhaps my favorite areas are Galveston Island, High Island, Brazos Bend State Park, and Anahuac and Brazoria National Wildlife Refuges, all of which are within easy travel of my home in Dickinson, TX. My photographic journey began at 13 when I began using film and I've have been creating digital images since 2003. My work has been juried into many art shows including those at JoMar Visions, Artcrawl Houston, FeatherFest and the Art Alliance of Clear Lake. In 2014 one of my images was one of twelve chosen in the Galveston Nature Tourism FeatherFest juried show. Some of my work also has been featured in Life is Good magazine. I've now been a volunteer for Featherfest for 4 years and offer my support to the photographic side of that event in both planning and field trip leadership. My images are hung in many homes and offices throughout the Great State of Texas.
